The Prankqueans bring their celebration of Irish Australian female creativity to the Carrington Hotel’s beautiful Baroque Room where they will transport you to ancient Ireland and beyond. Brigid, Ireland’s matriarchal saint and ancient Celtic Goddess of Poetry, will inspire beautiful contributions in song, poetry, and music to inspire and sooth the spirit. Ancient Irish culture and mysticism of a distinctly Australian flavour, will be the focus of this entertaining and enlightening afternoon with the Prankqueans and their special guests.
Poet Anne Casey will be reading along with local guest poets Linda Adair and Mark Roberts. Music will be provided by Blue Mountains musicians the ‘Deep Sea Rosies’ featuring Melanie Long, Glenda Kelly, Jane Anderson, and Libby Bell, as well as the Prankquean’s own McMollys, featuring the wonderful musicians Clíona Molins, Rosie McDonald, and Jacqui McPhee.
