As we come up to renewal dates for our web hosting and email at the beginning of 2025 Rochford Street Review is once again facing a shortfall in being able to pay our bills and stay on-line. It has been a busy year for us, we have published two large issues as well as launching Issue 9 of the occasional literary journal, P76, as part of the 2024 Sonic Poetry Festival, along with an online supplement. While this year has been exciting, the added costs associated with P76 and organising an interstate launch, has placed added pressure on our finances. It is worth noting that we received no government or institutionalised support yet again in 2024.
P76 Issue 9 – poetries of place/ displacement/ diaspora / odyssey – will be launched as part of the 2024 Sonic Poetry Festival on Tuesday 27 August at 6.30pm at the Bergy Bandroom, 64 Sydney Road, Brunswick, VIC, 3056.
Poetry Sydney is thrilled to be host of seed spin everywhere in celebration of World Poetry Day, as recognised by UNESCO (1999) to honour poets, revive oral traditions of poetry recitals, promote the reading, writing and teaching of poetry, foster the convergence between poetry and other arts and raise the visibility of poetry in the media.
As of today, Friday 22 December 2023, we have $246.14 available. We need $459.00 by 2 January 2024 if we are to stay on line for another 12 months – a shortfall of $212.86.
