Coming up to the end of the year we have a raft of large bills to pay if we are to commit to being around for another twelve months. These bills include domain registration and hosting for our websites along with the increasing cost of storage. To keep our heads above water therefore we need to raise a minimum of $400 by the end of 2021 and a further $150 by the end of January 2022.

Never heavy, Rose Lucas’s voice is measured, paced – on the page and in the ear – with the rhythms of heartbeat or walking. The ‘murk’ of human obsessions and cruelty are suggested subtly, but in such a way that her poetics affirms a kind of grace.
