Rochford Street Review eBooks Portal – Free Monthly eBook

Welcome to the Rochford Street Review eBook portal. You will find here a growing collection of literary ‘flip books’ for your online reading pleasure. These will range from out of print small press titles to new writing by commissioned writers.

All of the titles will be available to read for paid subscribers of the Review. This is to help cover the cost of producing and maintaining the eBooks and to commission new work. Each month one book will be available for free access.

One aspect we would like to encourage is to ensure that important out of print titles are made available to access. To this end we are particularly interesting in hearing from poets and writers who have titles which are no longer available to buy but which they would like to be still be available to read. We hope to be able to pay at least a small amount to host these titles (depending on the level of subscriptions) and, of course, full rights would remain with the author.

The free content for June/July is P76 Issue 6 (The Lost Issue)

P76 was founded by Mark Roberts and Adam Aitken and the first issue was published in Spring 1983 and over the years has featured work by some of the leading poets and writers of the time. Over the next 8 years another 4 issues were published. Issue 6 of P76 was scheduled to appear during the summer of 1992/93 but, due to a number of issues/ incidents and circumstances, it never appeared. Almost 20 years later, however P76 Issue 6 finally appeared.

The ‘lost’ issue 6 provided a kind of ‘time capsule’ highlighting some amazing writing, some of which would have been lost if the issue didn’t finally see the light of day.

Issue 6 was edited by Mark Roberts and Linda Adair. It contained work by M T C Cronin, Adrian D’Ambra, Rae Desmond Jones, David J Cookson, Gary Dunne, James Bradley, Coral Hull, Margaret Bradstock, John O’Brien and joanne burns. Review of Victor Kelleher’s Wintering and Andrew McGahan’s Praise. Cover Design and art work by Narelle Adair. Artwork by Karen Jackson and Lucie Adair-Roberts.
