Anna Hayes: Artist statement:
These images explore an abstract concept of place in which details act as sensory markers in our memories creating unique links to places. The place explored in these images is my place of martial arts training since early childhood. The details tell a unique story to me that are meant to appear disorienting to the viewer through abstract techniques.

Anna Hayes is a second year media production student at the University of Newcastle.
