The second Reading the River Poetry Reading was scheduled to take place at The Cottage Gallery at Brooklyn (10 Dangar Rd Brooklyn NSW 2083) on 28 March.  The reading was to feature Irina Frolova, Chris Mansell, Les Wicks, Martin Langford, Tricia Dearborn and Richard Tipping. Unfortunately the COVID-19 lock down meant that the reading couldn’t go ahead in it’s planned format.

While we are looking to forward to welcoming Irina, Chris, Les, Martin, Tricia and Richard to the The Cottage Gallery once we are able to start up physical readings again, we have attempted to create a series of virtual readings by each poet which we will be loading over the coming days. Check back regularly to make sure you don’t miss a reading!

Reading the River presents a series of Poetry Reading and Events initiated by Juno Gemes and Robert Adamson of Paper Bark Press who invited Mark Roberts and Linda Adair  to curate with them a Poetry Event Series supported by Rochford Street Review and  Myff  Sharp Curator  and Peter Davis  of The River Cottage Gallery. The series title  comes from Reading the River by  Robert Adamson published by Bloodaxe Book UK  2004.

The readings were to have taken place every second month throughout 2020 beginning with the inaugural reading on 17 January 2020. The March and May readings have had to moved on-line due to the COVID-19 lock-down. The physical readings will restart as soon as  it is safe to do so.

The current series of Reading the River is sponsored by Rochford Street Review
