Rochford Street Review published its first three articles on 2 December 2011 which means, if I am not mistaken, that we are five years old today! The first articles were:
- Comments on Mike Ladd’s review of Australian Poetry Since 1788, edited by Geoffrey Lehmann and Robert Gray, UNSW Press, in The Sydney Morning Herald ‘Spectrum’ November 12-13 2011
- Kris Hemensley on Pete Spence’s new collection Perrier Fever. Grand Parade Poets 2011.
- Michael Wilding the Woolley Years: Mark Roberts Reviews Wild & Woolley: A Publishing Memoir by Michael Wilding
Five years later we have published close to 550 reviews and articles which have read over 130,000 times.
Shortly we will be kicking off our fund-raising drive to raise the $200 we need to pay each year for web hosting, domain names and the like – in the meantime you can always become a supporting subscriber or make a one-off donation by going to https://rochfordstreetreview.com/supporting-subscriber/.
Who knows we might even be around for another five years!
