Today is my actual birthday and as of 9am this morning my Rochford Street Review Birthday appeal was $5 short of reaching it’s target of $200. Rochford Street Review and I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the ‘Not the Facebook Birthday Appeal’ (see below) and look forward to celebrating when the final $5 comes in! Background
Facebook/Meta kept asking me to set up a birthday appeal to raise money for one of their chosen charities. While some of the charities are very worthy, my view is that Mark Zuckerberg probably has enough personal wealth to make very large donations to those charities if he was so inclined.
And so instead of choosing one of Meta’s charities to raise funds I am electing to try and raise $200 for Rochford Street Review by the end of May.
