From diverse backgrounds, they have also been invited to take up the Ekphrastic Challenge: to pen a poetic response to at least one artwork in the exhibition, as part of their selection of poems.
.
The reading, MC’d by poet Louise Wakeling in collaboration with Marlene Plummer, curator of the gallery, will be followed by a convivial afternoon tea (30 minutes) and an Open section (also 30 minutes.) Poets who want to read in the latter should register their interest on the list provided at the gallery on the day. Please note: no lengthy preambles, or reading from mobile phones, please!
